I am Jonatan Palmblad and I do research on human–environment interaction. This website contains information on my work, news on what I do, and occasional musings and reflections.

Originally from Sweden, I did my PhD at the Rachel Carson Center, LMU Munich, under the auspices of Christof Mauch and Helmuth Trischler. I am currently the Project Coordinator of the Rachel Carson Center and I lecture at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and CODE University of Applied Science in Berlin.
Apart from research and teaching, I am a professional copyeditor and developmental editor. I currently serve as an Associate Editor for journals like Environmental Humanities and Resistance: A Journal of Radical Environmental Humanities and Managing Editor for Arcadia: Explorations in Environmental History.
I am also serving as a board member of the International Consortium of Environmental History Organizations (ICEHO), a communications committee member of the European Society for Environmental History (ESEH), and President of ESEH Nextgate.
When time allows, I am available as an editor and speaker.
